Tambre wins two Fertility Care Awards at ESHRE 2026: recognition for a way of caring for fertility
Table of contents
London has been the setting this year for a new international recognition for Tambre. As part of ESHRE 2026, one of the most important scientific meetings in reproductive medicine, Tambre has seen its work recognised with two Fertility Care Awards and two further finalist nominations.
The awards, organised by the European Fertility Society, were presented at the Science Gallery, King’s College London, on 6 July, as part of ESHRE 2026, the annual congress of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, which this year is taking place from 5 to 8 July.
For Tambre, this recognition has very special meaning. Because it speaks not only of science, innovation or outcomes. It also speaks of support, medical excellence, coordination, sensitivity, and a way of understanding reproductive medicine in which every patient truly matters.
Four award
In this edition, Tambre was nominated in four categories:
- Best International Patient Care & Support
- Best Fertility Doctor, for Dr. Laura García de Miguel
- Best Fertility Embryologist, for Dr. Susana Cortés
- Best Fertility Social Media Channel
In the end, Tambre received two of these honours: the FCA for Best Fertility Doctor and a Highly Commended distinction in Best International Patient Care & Support.

Tambre received the Best Fertility Doctor award, presented to Dr Laura García de Miguel, Medical Director at Tambre.
This award recognises professionals whose clinical excellence, human approach and impact on their patients’ lives make a real difference in the field of fertility.
The award was collected on her behalf by Dr Abraham Zavala, Medical Coordinator at Tambre Alicante and Scientific Director of Tambre.
The Highly Commended distinction in Best International Patient Care & Support recognises clinics that provide especially thoughtful care for patients travelling from other countries for fertility treatment. It values aspects such as multilingual support, cultural sensitivity, process coordination, and the ability to make a complex experience feel clearer, closer and more reassuring.
On behalf of Tambre, this recognition was collected by Ana Ballester, Head of Nursing at Tambre Alicante.
In addition, the clinic was a finalist in the categories of Best Fertility Embryologist, with Susana Cortés, Laboratory Director, and Best Fertility Social Media Channel.

A recognition that also belongs to our patients
These awards are not only important for Tambre. They are also important for the people who entrust us with their story.
Because when a clinic is recognised for its international patient care, what is being valued is its ability to properly support those who arrive from other countries with doubts, hope, fear, and a deep need to feel understood. And when a doctor such as Laura García de Miguel is recognised, what is also being recognised is a model of reproductive medicine based on rigour, listening, personalisation and commitment to every case.
These awards speak of a way of caring that patients experience from the inside.
They speak of receiving clear explanations. Of feeling that there is a team paying attention to every step. Of recognising that behind every medical decision there is study, judgement and humanity. Of knowing that, even in the most uncertain moments, you are not alone.

Tambre at ESHRE 2026, with two selected studies
This recognition also comes at a particularly important moment for Tambre, which is taking part in ESHRE 2026 with two selected studies, one of them chosen for oral presentation. Tambre’s presence at this congress is based on a very clear idea: to carry out research that helps us understand each case better and offer patients reproductive medicine that is more precise, more personalised and more useful.
The first study looks at exposure to endocrine disruptors present in everyday products and their possible impact on fertility. Because of its scientific relevance, it has been selected for oral presentation. The second analyses how the origin of the oocyte may modulate the effect of double-stranded sperm DNA fragmentation on fertilisation. Both studies share the same perspective: to keep searching for answers where they are not always obvious at first sight.
The Tambre team in London
Tambre’s representation at ESHRE 2026 is led by our CEO, Inge Kormelink. Alongside her are professionals from Tambre Madrid and Tambre Alicante: Dr Abraham Zavala, Dr Najib Dagher, psychologist Raquel Urteaga, Ana Ballester, and embryologists Victoria Almela, Carolina Andrés and Sara Díez. Also part of the delegation are Inci Ipek and Inmaculada Olid from the partnerships development area, as well as Scientific Advisor, José Antonio Horcajadas.
Science, teamwork and care that puts the person at the centre
Being at ESHRE with two selected studies and returning from London with two awards and two finalist nominations confirms the path of a fertility clinic that researches, questions, evolves, and understands that excellence lies in technology but also in the patient experience. In how patients are informed. In how they are supported. In how their case is studied. In how they are cared for.
That is why this milestone belongs to the team, but also to every patient who has placed their trust in us at one of the most important moments of their life.
We remain in London sharing science. And we continue working with the same conviction as always: to research in order to care better, to move forward in order to offer more answers, and to live up to every story.
