Tambre sponsors an elephant at Elephant Parade Amsterdam 750

At Tambre we have been accompanying people who wish to start a family since 1978. We know that fertility is not just a medical issue: it is also an act of hope, care and commitment to life. And this commitment drives us to support initiatives that go beyond our laboratories, but which share our raison d’être.

That’s why this year Tambre is joining Elephant Parade Amsterdam 750, an urban art exhibition that brings together international artists and companies to highlight the fragility of life and the need to protect it. A message that resonates deeply with our daily work.

What is Elephant Parade?

Elephant Parade is a globally recognised initiative that displays elephants decorated by local and international artists in public spaces in major cities. The aim is clear: to raise awareness of the plight of the critically endangered Asian elephant and to raise funds for its conservation.

Between 19 May and 29 June 2025, Amsterdam is hosting a special edition to mark its 750th anniversary. The sculptures are distributed in the city’s most iconic locations, creating an open, free and engaging art trail.

Peppy, our elephant

Tambre has sponsored Peppy, one of the most cheerful and colourful pieces in the exhibition. Designed by the artist Priscilla Teoh-Stoute, Peppy represents a young elephant, full of vitality, who frees himself from the ropes that kept him tied up. The same ropes that in the past symbolised control and suffering, now seem to be part of his play.

Peppy conveys optimism, strength and hope. And that is exactly what we want to offer to every person who trusts us to fulfil their dream of becoming a mother or father. Just as this little elephant makes its way through difficulties, every fertility treatment at Tambre is an opportunity to move towards life, even in the most complex scenarios.

A symbol that connects with our purpose

The elephant is not only the protagonist of this exhibition: it is an ancestral symbol of fertility, wisdom and protection. In many cultures, it represents motherhood, patience and memory. In the wild, herds are led by females, and the care of the youngest is collective. In Tambre, where the majority of the team are women and where sensitivity to motherhood is an essential part of our identity, this parallelism is no coincidence.

Fertility, like conservation, requires time, resources, science and a lot of empathy. And both causes need to be made visible and championed with conviction.

Where is Peppy?

For almost two months, Peppy will be on display at an iconic spot in Amsterdam, as part of the official Elephant Parade route. It will be geolocated in the event guide, which guarantees a high number of visitors and high visibility.

From Tambre, we invite everyone in the city to look for him, photograph him and share him on social networks with the hashtag #PeppyTambre. We want this story to reach as far as possible, because it speaks of commitment, art and life.

A message that unites us

Elephant Parade is not just an art show: it’s a platform for real impact. 20% of the net profits generated go to Asian elephant conservation projects, such as the FAE hospital in Thailand and the Elephant Family organisation, which protects habitats and promotes peaceful coexistence between humans and elephants.

Participating in this cause is not a one-off action for Tambre: it is a way of amplifying what we already do every day. To accompany. To care. Giving voice and space to those who need to be heard. In this case, also the elephants.

How you can join

If you happen to be in Amsterdam, we encourage you to visit the exhibition and meet Peppy.

If you take a photo, share it on social media with the hashtag #PeppyTambre and tag us.

If you know someone who is going through a fertility journey, share this story. Because often times, a small gesture can open up big conversations.

At Tambre we believe that life, in any form, deserves to be protected. Because every story matters. And every symbol, like Peppy, can remind us of the essential: that life makes its way when it is cared for with love.
