“The deeply personal stories I encounter motivate me to give it my all, day after day”
Learn more about me
Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to work in a laboratory because I was fascinated by microscopes. Over time, that idea gradually took shape, and I began to picture myself working with both plant and human cells. It wasn’t until I took a course in andrology that I finally defined my goal of working in reproductive medicine.
Without a doubt, knowing that my work helps make other people happy and, at the same time, helps them fulfil their dream of bringing life into the world. It is also a field in which it is easy to meet wonderful colleagues, both professionally and personally, and that also means a great deal to me.
You inevitably come across stories that are deeply personal and emotionally intense, stories that touch you in a profound way; yet, over time, this becomes a source of motivation to keep giving my all day after day, striving for constant improvement.
The wonderful thing about this work is that there is not just one experience worth remembering, but many. Nevertheless, there is one moment that stands out for me above all others, and that is seeing the gratitude in a patient’s tear-filled eyes after an embryo transfer. It’s one of the most touching rewards this job has to offer.
As well as spending time with family and friends, I devote time to learning and exploring topics such as IT, finance, science, philosophy and cooking. However, I am increasingly focusing on living in the present and enjoying every moment with my wife and my son.
